They are either charged individually or you can book value-for-money therapy packages with or without hotel accommodation. Many national insurance funds pay a contribution towards private therapy. Referral by physician Here there are two main options: Reimbursement: you pay for your therapy on the spot and then submit the bill to your national insurance fund. Costs directly assumed by the national insurance fund: your general practitioner prescribes therapy or a course of treatment for you that then has to be approved by the national insurance. You can subsequently undergo the therapy at the spa health centre and it bills the national insurance fund direct. We also differentiate between outpatient (individual treatments without hotel accommodation) and inpatient therapy (accommodation in the resort). If you opt for outpatient therapy, you are free to choose any accommodation. If your insurance is contributing to the costs, your accommodation must be in the Villach area because you need a stamp from the registration office on the application form. In-patient therapy is normally at the Thermenhof rehabilitation centre or one of our hotels. Besides providing therapy, the Thermenhof and ThermenParkHotel Josefinenhof will ensure that you have an unforgettable holiday. Direct settlement for inpatient therapy We have contracts with the following Austrian insurance funds (therapy duration 3 weeks): PVA, BVA, GKK (all except Wiener GKK), SV.gW, VA Eisenbahn, KFA Wien Foreign national insurance funds Given that the Warmbad-Villach spa health centre is recognised by the state, many foreign national insurance funds will reimburse medical and therapy costs.
